Dr. Tangela C. Sawyerr is an Assistant Professor of Teaching at the Rutgers University School of Social Work. She has over twenty years of experience working with vulnerable groups, including pregnant and post-partum mothers on methadone maintenance, individuals experiencing homelessness, and abused/neglected children. Dr. Sawyerr's research interests focus on intersectional approaches to addressing sibling loss in adulthood and inequities in bereavement work.
